Department of Computer Science & Engineering

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering was established in the year 2001 with a total intake of 60 and enhanced to 120 in the year 2005. Post Graduation in Computer Science & Engineering with an intake of 18 was started in the year 2008 .Also Post Graduation in Software Engineering with an intake of 18 was started in the year 2009.An amount of Rs. 60 lakhs has been spent on computer systems and relevant software. The Dept. has 132 Pentium IV computer systems of latest configuration and the major applications and operating systems software. The department is now fully established with excellent laboratories and competent staff.

GOALS OF THE DEPARTMENT:

Develop into a leading centre of excellence in Computer Science and Engineering, providing top quality education, pioneering research and innovating development of hardware and Software products that will significantly enhance quality of life

Objectives:

1. To prepare graduates to handle computer software and hardware oriented projects for the industry.
2. To develop excellence in the field of Computer Science and Information Technology.
3. To develop Research activity.
