Aim:
The academic committee is to oversee the academic Affairs of the college and make recommendations to the Principal about academic programs and strategic priorities.
Objectives:
- To review and recommend to the Academic Senate action on existing and proposed curricula, courses, prerequisites, corequisites, advisories and programs.
Functions:
- The Academic activities of the institute are supervised by the College Academic Committee for which, Principal is the Chairman and all Heads of the Departments and Professors are members.
- The Committee meets regularly to discuss the academic performance and to take decisions on critical academic matters.
- The Minutes of these meeting are forwarded to the Management. The salient points of the Academic Committee are made as agenda for Governing Body.

Aim:
To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality Enhancement through CAY (2021-22) internalization of quality culture and Institutionalizing of best practices.
Objectives:
- To develop quality parameters for the activities of the Institution.
- To solicit, format and implement feedback/suggestions from stakeholders on improving academic and administrative quality related affairs.

Functions:

Aim:

Objectives:

Functions:
- The main aim of the committee is to take care of the academic and non academic activities in the college.
- Allocate the subjects to the faculty members well in advance before commencement of the semester/year.
- Collect lesson plans from teaching staff before the commencement of class work and ensure that the information provided is in accordance with the format.
- Make sure that the time tables are prepared as per the guidelines given by the Principal and inform the faculty members and students at least one day before the commencement of the class work.

Professional Bodies
The presence of Professional bodies and their regular activities showcases the college on global arena as these are crucial to engineering education.
Professional bodies like IETE and ISTE are concerned with the growth and observation of professional educational programs, and thus perform technology updates through conferences, seminars, tutorials and workshop at nominal rates. Indian Society for Technical Education
ISTE was started as the Association of Principals of Technical Institutions (APTI) in the year 1941. It was a society for the Principals at that time and with a view to enlarge the activities, APTI was converted into Indian Society of Technical Education. It is a national, professional, non-profit Society registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. The major objective of the ISTE is to assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industries and other organizations. ISTE is the only national organization that caters to the needs of educators in the field of Engineering and Technology. ISTE has good nexus with many reputed colleges and universities.
ISTE formulates the general goals & responsibilities of technical education. It plays a vital role in changing the curriculum according to the contexts. In the field of education, ISTE has been impressively moulding the personality of teachers and administrators. It enhances professional ideals & standards. ISTE gives importance to research and teaches how to maintain a serene atmosphere in work places. It serves as a bridge between technical institutions and society.

Membership
An individual can join the IEEE as a student member, professional member, or associate member. In order to qualify for membership, the individual must fulfill certain academic or professional criteria and abide to the code of ethics and bylaws of the organization. There are several categories and levels of IEEE membership and affiliation
Student Members
Student membership is available for a reduced fee to those who are enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education as undergraduate or graduate students in technology or engineering.
Graduate Student Members
Graduate Student Membership is discounted but members at this level have greater privileges than do Student Members
Members
Ordinary or professional Membership requires that the individual have graduated from a technology or engineering program of an appropriately accredited institution of higher education or h000ave demonstrated professional competence in technology or engineering through at least six years of professional work experience. An associate membership is available to an individual whose area of expertise falls outside the scope of the IEEE or who does not, at the time of enrolment, meet all the requirements for full membership. Students and Associates have all the privileges of members, except the right to vote and hold certain offices.
Society Affiliates
Some IEEE Societies also allow a person who is not an IEEE member to become a Society Affiliate of a particular Society within the IEEE, which allows a limited form of participation in the work of a particular IEEE Society.
Senior Members
Upon meeting certain requirements, a professional member can apply for Senior Membership, which is the highest level of recognition that a professional member can directly apply for. Applicants for Senior Member must have at least three letters of recommendation from Senior, Fellow, or Honorary members and fulfill other rigorous requirements of education, achievement, remarkable contribution, and experience in the field. The Senior Members are a selected group, and certain IEEE officer positions are available only to senior (and Fellow) Members. Senior Membership is also one of the requirements for those who are nominated and elevated to the grade IEEE Fellow, a distinctive honor.
Fellow Members
The Fellow grade of membership is the highest level of membership, and cannot be applied for directly by the member – instead the candidate must be nominated by others. This grade of membership is conferred by the IEEE Board of Directors in recognition of a high level of demonstrated extraordinary accomplishment.
Honorary Members
Individuals who are not IEEE members but have demonstrated exceptional contributions, such as being a recipient of an IEEE Medal of Honor, may receive Honorary Membership from the IEEE Board of Directors.
Life Members, Life Senior Members and Life Fellows
Members who have reached the age of 65 and whose number of years of membership plus their age in years adds up to at least 100 are recognized as Life Members, Life Senior Members or Life Fellows, as appropriate.

NSS
National Service Scheme (NSS), the scheme was launched in Gandhiji's Centenary year, 1969. Aimed at developing student's personality through community service, NSS is a voluntary association of young people in Colleges, Universities and at +2 levels working for a campus-community linkage. The cardinal principle of the NSS program is that it is organized by the students themselves, and both students and teachers through their combined participation in community service, get a sense of involvement in the tasks of nation building. It gives opportunity to students to interact with society, teaches dignity of labour, develops personality, enhance cultural and artistic talents.
Aim:
The aim of our NSS is to promote National integration and the sense of Social responsibility, inculcate of discipline, dignity of labor and help the Students to develop their total personality.

Our college SC/ST cell is organized the 279th Birth Anniversary of sri sevalal maharaj “The Great”, dignitaries paid homage to Sant Sevalal by garlanding his portrait at the venue and remembering his reforms and services for the uplift of Banjaras. They said Sevalal Maharaj devoted his life to drive humanity in the right direction and sought to reform them with his spiritual messages.

On behalf of Balaji Group of Institutions, “TRADITIONAL YOUTH FESTIVAL-2018” was conducted for students on 03.02.2018. The Chairman of Institutions, Dr. A.Rajendraprasad Reddy has felicitated the gathering. Dr.V.S.Hariharan,Principal-BITS, Dr. N.Raghunandan, Principal-BIPS, Dr. K.Sharath Babu, Principal-BIMS and Shri.Srinivas, Principal-BEd addressed the gathering. To make the traditional day more entertaining various interesting activities were arranged for the students and faculty. Everyone displayed their various cultures by dressing their best which was a colourful treat to the eyes in itself.
The Cultural club of BITS had organized a “Mehendi Competition” on 27th January 2018 in our college from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Seventy five students had participated in the competition. The students made beautiful designs of Arabian colourful mehndi, sparkle mehndi designs and drew floral designs of leaves, including birds on the hands of their friends. The judges from the faculty Mrs Asiya Sulthana, Mrs B.Sridevi and Mrs D.Pavana Kumari evaluated. The judges were astonished to see the efforts of the students. Our Principal Dr. V.S.Hariharan praised the students for their participation in the co-curricular activities along with their studies. To boost the confidence level of the students’ certificates were given to them.
It is another opportunity for faculty and students to uphold their commitment as responsible citizens of India and derive inspiration from the great leaders and intellectuals whose vision has guided this nation on the path of progress. The entire campus presented a festive look with creative decoration and tricolour ribbons. The celebrations started with flag hosting by the Chairman in the presence of Principals, all faculty and students. Audience presented a heart warming salute to the National Flag along with National Anthem. Jan-gan-man was sung by all personnel present on the occasion. After hoisting of National Flag, students of the college presented well organized programs where patriotic songs, dance touched the hearts of the audience. This created a warm environment full of enthusiasm and national fervour.
The main objective of this event is to understand the cultural importance of the rituals and festivity. Makar Sankranti (also known as Makara Sankranti or Maghi) is a festival day in the Hindu calendar, in reference to deity Surya (sun). It marks the beginning of the harvesting season and is an onset of the spring. Rangoli Competition was conducted for girls. Boys showcased their concentration skills by flying the kites. The Rangoli competition was won by first Year ECE girls. Kite flying was won by 2nd Mech Students. Students enjoyed spreading the colours of joy while learning the traditionality of the festival.

Hence, to think creatively, we must be able to look afresh at what we normally take for granted."--- George Kneller. In order to make students aware of uses of waste material, and to give them a lesson on importance of 3R’s i .e. REDUCE, RECYCLE & REUSE for better future, a ‘Best out of Waste’ competition was organised for students of first year on 29-12-2017. Mind-blowing, beyond expectation, fantabulous ideas were demonstrated by students. Right from waste papers to broken bangles, plastic bangles, every waste material was used. The jury was amazed to see the models made by students. 30 students were participated.
To bring and set the tone of festive celebrations towards Dusshera and to join with Telangana State pride festival Bathukamma, Cultural Club celebrated Saddula Bathukamma on 23-09-2017 with great fanfare and gaiety. To motivate the students and to add excitement factor, the students were asked to make Bathukamma Palettes Dept. wise. This small competition as an activity flourished joyfulness and competitiveness among students. The Bathukamma festival, which symbolises the customs and way of life of the Telangana State should bring light into the lives of people, said the Dr. Vanaja, Treasurer, Balaji Group of Institutions. Dr. A.Rajendraprasad Reddy, Chairman, Balaji Group of Institutions, Dr. V.S.Hariharan, Principal, BITS, Heads of the Depts. and students were attended in the celebrations.
Cultural club conducted Anthyakshari Activity on 19-09-2017 to all Diploma, UG and PG students. Anthyakshari Activity is quite popular among students and it aims at bringing out the singing talent, knowledge of songs and enhancing student confidence in facing the competitions. Total 18 teams i.e 72 students registered and they actively participated in all the rounds. Total 5 rounds have been conducted. Club appreciated the winners with Certificates and some gifts.
Shrestah’17, A National Level Technical Students’ Symposium organized at our campus on 14-10-2017. In this connection we Cultural Club planned and performed a welcome song on Shrestah’15 stage which added a flavour to the main event. Also we planned and executed a Flash Mob just before the day of event to create awareness on importance of the event among the students. Cultural club organized several cultural events like dances, fashion show, skits, Rangoli etc. to entertain the audience. Other college students also participated actively in these events. Sujayanth Khan, Principal Director, Central Institute of Tool Design, Hyderabad was the Chief Guest to this program. The event took place in the presence of Dr. A.Rajendraprasad Reddy, Chairman, Balaji Group of Institutions who presided over the function.

- To coordinate various bus routes regularly with the assistance of bus-in-charges.
- To inspect the condition of the buses frequently.
- Te supervise the daily transport operations and provide required instructions to the Bus- in-charges.

- With adequate number of buses available for the college, committee arranges buses on designated routes to ferry the students to and from the college.

Intellectual Property Right Cell
Intellectual property (IPR) refers to various distinct types of creations of the mind: inventions, literary and artistic works, and symbols, names, images and designs used in commerce. A set of exclusive rights like copyrights, trademarks, patents, industrial design rights and trade secrets are recognized under the corresponding fields of law.
IPR is protected by law, for example, patents, copyrights and trademarks, which enable people to earn recognition or financial benefit from what they invent or create. By striking the right balance between the interests of innovators and the wider public interest, the IPR system aims to foster an environment in which creativity and innovation can flourish.
Objectives:
- To create an awareness about IPR for faculties and students.
- To impart training on future endeavors regarding patent filing processes.
- To conduct workshops, seminars and training course on IPR.
- To create an opportunity for Product development and Commercialization.
